This is an original hand drawn Madhubani art work from Bihar, North-East India.

It is painted on hand made paper with pen and ink and in bold black lines. The paper has been traditionally treated with buffalo dung giving an earthy warmth to the background. The image size is 140mm x 382mm. Total size with frame – 370mm x 600mm.

This incredibly striking painting is presented in a bespoke dark wooden frame. The distressed finish adds an aged feel which compliments the art work perfectly.

The tiger is a symbol of strength in Mithial folklore.

This striking piece of art is typical of the Madhubani style with its strong outlines and geometric border design. A wonderful and meaningful original painting.
