This is a beautiful unique hand painted Tibetan Thangka.

It is painted on cotton canvas in striking black and white, image size – 320mm x 230mm. Framed size – 475mm x 350mm.

This art work has been framed sympathetically using a black wood grain textured scoop moulding which compliments it perfectly.

Of all the manifestations of Avalokiteshvara, Padmapani is probably the oldest. He is the helper in cases of dire need, and one who can shorten the path to deliverance from suffering. He can be recognised by his standing position (tribhanga). He wears the five-pointed crown of the conqueror of the world on his head, and the skin of a gazelle, the characteristic sign of Avalokiteshvara, over his shoulder.

The detail in this hand painted Thangka is absolutely stunning and the contrasting black and white make for a very striking image.
