Manjushri is considered to be the oldest Bodhisattva. He is the Lord of Wisdom and gives inspiration to everyone who wants to spread the teachings of the Buddha. He is the Celestial Architect who shows one how to build a worthy temple on earth. Manjushri appears as the eternally youthful crowned prince of buddhahood in the form of Arapacana. In his right hand he holds the flaming sword that destroys ignorance; in his left hand he holds the book of transcendental wisdom on a lotus flower.
